Health Solutions
Functional Testing
Our office offers progressive and state-of-the-art functional testing, which involves procedures that look for specific reasons why the body is not functioning at its optimum, as opposed to conventional testing approaches that are designed to diagnose disease and pathology.
Standard chiropractic, orthopedic, and neurological testing is performed in our office to assess the nervous, muscular, and skeletal systems. X-rays, MRI's, bloodwork, and other hi-tech diagnostics may also be requested from another location if needed.
Body Composition analysis is also available which can give exact measurements of your body fat percentage, muscle mass, bone mass, water volume, water distribution, body mass index, metabolic rate, and overall cellular health. This analysis is the foundation for a THerapeutic Lifestyle Program called First Line Therapy which incorporates an individualized diet program, nutritional supplements, and exercise to attain optimum body composition and overall health.
CardioVision is a computerized blood pressure and cardiovascular dynamics device that can measure blood pressure, pulse, Arterial Stiffness Index which represents how flexible your arteries are, and it can also tell if you have an irregular heartbeat called an arrythmia.
Dr. Nedd uses muscle testing from Touch for Health and Applied Kinesiology training as an analytical tool to detect imbalances in the body including spinal misalignments (subluxations), acupuncture meridian imbalances, organ and gland weaknesses, nutritional imbalances, and many other stressors whether they may be from structural, chemical, emotional, or electromagnetic sources. Muscle testing also allows the doctor to recommend individualized nutritional supplement programs as opposed to traditional programs that are based on guess work or cookbook approaches.
Natural Therapies
In addition to delivering gentle chiropractic manipulative therapy using Activator
Methods, the Adjustor, and manual approaches
including Diversified technique, Dr. Nedd also offers a diverse array of other natural therapeutic
approaches.

We also offer cold laser therapy. A cold laser, as opposed to a hot or high-powered laser, causes a stimulative healing effect rather than inducing thermal changes in tissue. Over 1,700 publications have shown that there have been no recorded side effects for cold lasers. The specific laser that we use is made by Erchonia and it emits a beam at the wavelength of 635.8 nanometers, which is basically identical to the vibration rate of DNA replication in the human body. In simple terms, it is postulated that it balances the cellular activity of the human body encouraging cell regeneration and repair. It helps to reduce pain, inflammation and swelling, and promote healing of damaged tissue. Specific conditions that it is useful for include acute, chronic, or post-operative pain; arthritis; tendon/ligament/muscle disorders including sprains and strains; fractures; carpal tunnel syndrome; tennis elbow; scar tissue; nerve root irritations; back and neck problems; burns; intestinal disorders including ulcers, intestinal pain, and tumors; herpes lesions; and a variety of other skin conditions including the infamous flesh eating bacteria. Dr. Nedd also incorporates the use of the cold laser into his allergy desensitization, heavy metal detoxification, and smoking cessation protocols.
Nutrition
is another vital part of our wholistic health approach. Dr. Nedd
recommends clinically-designed nutritional supplements, along with homeopathic
remedies, and specific dietary approaches to restore balance and support
optimal body function.
Acupuncture
has something to offer for everyone since it can literally help thousands of
different health disorders. Dr. Nedd has had excellent success helping people
with pulled muscles, broken bones, torn tendons, and even paralysis with the aid
of acupuncture. Other conditions that we have successfully helped include
fatigue, back and neck pain, migraine headaches, tension headaches, TMJ
disorders, extremity injuries, post-surgical healing and scar reduction, sinus problems, bloody noses, facial neuralgia,
shingles,
ganglion cysts, cataracts, epilepsy, stress, constipation, ileo-cecal valve
problems, and hiatle hernia to name a few. Many of Dr. Nedd's patients, as well
as himself, have benefited from using acupuncture as a natural analgesic during
and after dental surgery. In addition, our program for helping people quit
smoking which includes needle and laser acupuncture therapy is extremely
effective and requires on the average 3 treatments!
Another
very effective approach that we offer includes myofascial and cranial
therapy using the Percussor instrument.
We
also offer on-site massage therapy. Some of the massage specialties
include deep tissue, Swedish, neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, trigger
point release, and chair massage.
Exercise is also emphasized whether it may be
stretching programs,
specific exercise programs such as walking or weight-training, or
yoga, pilates, and tai chi. We also recommend aerobic
training and lymphatic drainage using a rebounder trampoline. Since correct posture is
absolutely essential for good spinal health, the Dr. may recommend an exact heel
lift which is necessary for a short leg and certain types of scoliosis, foot
orthotics for flat feet or other lower extremity or spinal posture
abnormalities, a stress wedge to sit on which prevents slouching, or
other recommendations to improve posture and ensure optimal support while
working, exercising, or sleeping. We offer pilates full-time
by a certified Stott pilates instructor, and have a yoga instructor that teaches
stretch classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Dr.
Nedd is also a Certified Veterinary Chiropractitioner since he has been trained and certified in Veterinary Orthopedic
Manipulation (V.O.M.) allowing him to treat cats, dogs, and horses
for various ailments! He also incorporates acupuncture, cold laser therapy, and
nutrition when helping animals! Dr. Nedd must be in direct
veterinary affiliation when working on animals; therefore, services are
performed off-site at a veterinary clinic. Dr. Nedd is available on most
Saturdays and the Day & Evening Pet Clinic, the office of Al Paredes, DVM,
located at 3206 Alt. 19 Hwy. in Palm Harbor, Florida (727)785-7200. Dr. Nedd is not a licensed
veterinarian and does not practice veterinary medicine so any animal that presents with a condition
that can only be helped with veterinary medicine will be referred for veterinary
care.
